Our local team have put together this space to highlight some of the happenings in the Hampshire area dear to our hearts!

DARKER TACTICS TAKEOVER 2022

We want to shout about how proud we are of our local Winchester trio who absolutely nailed their first slot at Boomtown 2022. 

Justin Duff, Daryl Wearn and Richard Grist collaborate to make up the almighty Darker Tactics. 

Since 2011, these guys have been on the Drum n Bass scene and have a huge local following in Winchester. During lockdown, they raised spirits by bringing uplifting music to our ears through live streams, then after this they went on to perform at charity events. With such support from our community, they just had to play at our first Boomtown back after three cancellations!

Picture the scene. 3.30am on Friday. The streets of the Old Town are full of life. Darker Tactics take to the decks at The Flying Moustache, tucked away on a side street. Within minutes of them kicking off their set, the venue filled with a sea of local supporters all wearing Darker Tactics T-shirts and flying their flags. It was incredible. The local community all coming together to support our local boys. 

Well known Winchester MC Chris Grisedale, aka MC Griser took to the mic to accompany and he literally had the crowd in the palm of his hand. Griser is well respected in the industry performing at many well known events along the south coast, he is a talented MC combining lyricism and an effortless ability to handle the crowd. The atmosphere was electric. A moment me and the boys will never forget. It was so rewarding to see so much love for our local community and Boomtown coming together in one place.

Maybe we’ll stumble across them again whilst roaming the streets of Boomtown Chapter Two: The Twin Trail!
