Sound has always been central to our Boomtown journey …  the team’s passion for insane bass levels is very real but with over 100 stages running till 4 am we have to pioneer new ways to keep sound from escaping the festival site and up until now we have never quite got it right, especially when quick wind changes occur,  but, we ARE going to crack it for Chapter 11 and here's how…

Our environmental mission for 2019 and how you can help to make a difference. 

With almost all of our citizens staying within the festival for the duration of the festival, we’ve LOADS of options that hopefully provide the exact right sleeping experience for everyone and anyone... we've made a handy comparison chart so you can figure out what is the best for you. 

But before we launch our sustainability mission for Chapter 11 on Thursday, we’re celebrating some of the successes we collectively achieved last year…

As part of our ongoing mission to bring the arts and music to access to all... our Kidztown outreach projects took us to Bristol, Winchester and Boomtown last year, in partnership with Bassline Circus with funding from Bristol City Council we created one of the most epic opening shows ever!

As yesterday was the International Day of People with Disability we wanted to continue the mission of "empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality."

We are always looking for fresh creativity to bring our ever evolving, immersive city streets to life! If you have ideas for sideshows, walkabout performances, micro venues or window installations for Chapter 10 or are inspired after the festival to get involved for next year, then we would love to hear from you!

Reggae has been added to the UN's list of international cultural treasures!!

The next in our series of behind the scenes insights takes us to meet our long standing collaborators and innovators, The Invisible Circus, the creative force behind this years spectacular Paradise Heights show who brought you everything you've never wanted..... and just a little bit more!

Stewarding applications are open now, complete 3 x 8 hour shifts shifts over the festival and take advantage of a heap of perks available only to the volunteer family... 

It’s a real privilege to raise both funds and awareness for charity.  Thanks to you, we were able to raise an amazing £152,624.67 for charity, with over £31,751 going to projects in the local area. That’s a record breaking amount and we really, really can’t thank you enough for your support.
