Families

Boomtown is open to every generation and we are blessed to have such a wonderful family community who enjoy the unique experience that Boomtown has to offer.

Inspiring the next generation and giving families access to our festival culture is so important to us. We are passionate about embracing our families into the magic and providing them a specific space for their entertainment, growth and wellbeing...

However, as part of our post-pandemic evolution, our family offering has undergone many changes and due to the transformation of the Boomtown map we are simply unable to provide a dedicated family area and facilities that we feel will give our families the very best Boomtown experience.

If you have any specific questions you can always get in touch with us directly at info@boomtownfair.co.uk

Top tips for families attending Boomtown

We pulled together a selection of our most helpful tips for families coming to Boomtown - if you've got any more get in touch on info@boomtownfair.co.uk.

    • Be prepared! We’re a large and busy festival site so please be ready for potential queues at the gates.

    • You are welcome to bring pushchairs and buggies but please be aware we have a very hilly site so an all-terrain one is important.

    • Ear defenders! When taking your children to any music stages these are advised.

    • Know what to do if you get separated. Show your kids what stewards look like in their hi-vis and tell them to present themselves to the nearest one if they get lost.
    • Bring ear plugs and anything else comfortable that might help you get a good night’s sleep. Quiet camping is designed to be a bit further away from the main campsite hubs but the music does go on in some parts of the site until 4am and festivals are inherently noisy environments so come prepared.

    • Wearing battery powered fairy lights is a great idea to help not to lose little ones at night time (and it looks great!)

    • Be prepared for all weather eventualities! We’ve had blazing sunshine to torrential rain all the same weekend before so make sure to pack those little wellies and waterproofs as well as sun cream and floppy hats.

    • Like all large festivals, Boomtown can be overwhelming for some children. If you are bringing teenagers, please familiarise them with the layout and what to do if they find themselves lost or in need of help. Remember, you are legally responsible for anyone who enters the festival with you aged under 18.

    Family Facilities

Please be aware there is no dedicated family entertainment, camping or family orientated facilities. This includes dedicated parking areas. As with all cities, as we roll into the evening the entertainment across the festival will be adult focussed only. We recommend that after 7pm children 12 and under remain in campsites and enjoy the chilled music and programme of events that are scheduled to take place in our campsite villages. Teens venturing into this area (as always) will need to be accompanied by an adult. All teens must always be accompanied by an adult throughout their stay at Boomtown
