After 2019, Ami declared a State of Emergency. Residents were put into lockdown while she searched for ‘The One’ - the one person left at Boomtown she hadn’t collected the data on.
After a period of heavy control and surveillance for all Boomtown citizens under AMI, she disappeared, shorting all technology, wiping all hard drives, and taking all data and systems with her. Area 404 experiments have abruptly stopped. Paradise Heights has mysteriously vanished.
She also seems to have caused seismic shifts in reality/the landscape. Since then it has been a dark age, The Lost Chapter, a period of uncertainty and chaos for residents.
Three years later, it feels safer to emerge as the city finds its feet and starts to rebuild.
